I was chatting last night with Debby, my instructor, when she clued me in to Flickr. It is an amazing photo hosting site that is extremely flexible. I’ve been messing around with a couple of different solutions for putting images up on the web, primarily for sharing with friends and family, and this by far is the most interesting yet. You have to see it to believe it. I think one thing I have like is that the general quality of the images from other photographers that you can browse is very, very good. It’s like having a high quality photo magazine at your fingertips.
Speaking of high quality images, I also like the Stock Xchange for royalty free stock images. No where as easy to browse as flicker, I at least know that I can use the images that are posted there without getting into trouble with copyright. I aspire to having my own photographs accepted there sometime in the future.
